Az Építészettörténeti és Műemléki Tanszék, mint az építészeti tervezés komplex szakmaiságát képviselő, a historizmus időszakától kezdve létező legfolytonosabb műhelye saját történetén keresztül tárja fel az építész szakma másfél évszázadának fontos szegmenseit. A könyv áttekinti az építészképzés és műemlékvédelem 150 éves történetének legfontosabb eseményeit, személyiségeit és különböző korszakokon átívelő tudományos szemléleti átalakulásait.
